let's build something

CORE

When CORE started as a residential remodeling firm during the pandemic, they approached Nover seeking to break into the commercial remodeling industry. However, they knew that their current brand—symbolized by a home logo—and strategy didn’t align with that goal. We set to work on a rebrand and marketing strategy to help them bridge the gap between residential and commercial general contracting.

/ rebrand

After completing a competitor and market analysis, we rebranded Central Ohio Renovation Experts to CORE to reflect the modernization and simplicity that come with confidence. The lines in their logo were inspired by architectural elements, conveying their full-service design-build approach.

/ website design

We wanted to showcase both their residential and commercial expertise on their site. However, since they had an overwhelming number of residential project examples and none for commercial, we knew that visitors would quickly perceive them as more experienced in one area. To address this, we created a gated experience on their site where visitors must choose between residential or commercial, directing them into entirely distinct experiences.

/ strategy

Transitioning from B2C (residential) to B2B (commercial) in construction shifts the focus to relationship building and RFPs instead of lead generation. However, there is an untapped segment of the market we call “bridge jobs”—small business owners who own offices and cafes and search for commercial remodeling on Google. While the volume is lower, so is the competition. Therefore, while the client focused on relationship building, we set out to improve their rankings for key terms in their area through SEO.

/ proposals & presentations

When competing against commercial general contractors, a well-crafted bid can make or break the deal. We ensured that CORE’s branding was consistently reflected in a beautifully designed proposal.
